For this project we were asked to create a space that fit 6x6 demensions. Working with octogons I came up with this as my final model. From there, we were then ask to shrink our model to 3x3 demensions such as the picture below.
This is how my 3x3 model turned out. I removed the objects that were placed in the middle of my 6x6 model because they made the space to busy. The shape of my models fills in the space naturally with its unique appearance. After creating the 3x3 models, we were then asked to create 12 similar models to be created into a wall bringing me to my model below.
Since the shape of my previous models were so unique, I wanted to make sure that the outcome of my wall was just as unique. Looking at my model from any angle is very eye appealing and I love how this project came out in the end.
The next project we worked on in this course began with placing dots and lines with a space based off a given word and how we interpretted that definition. The two words I found the most interesting were 'unstable' and 'fixed'. From there I created a few models to help express my ideas on how I interupted the assignment.
These following picure made of white museum board is my final out come for:
Unstable
Fixed
Addition
Subtraction
Manipulation
Linear
For our final project, we were ask to find a random object that we could use to figure out different elements and principles of design in order to come up with a concept model in order to create a bench. I would go more into detail however, I have a poster made about this project on another tab.
